“The Tree of courage- Mochi Mochi No Ki”
This book is my origination. This book opened the door of my art and literature world a lot. This book was written by Ryusuke Saito and illustrated by Jiro Takidaira. Jiro was a great Wood Engraving Print artist and Cut Paper artist. Jiro’s Cut Paper art and Woodblock Printing Art were one of the styles which inspires my art. Especially I like the colors of his art. My favorite elementary school teacher loves Ryusuke Saito’s books. I also was inspired by my teacher’s knowledge of Japanese literature.

この本は私の原点です。この本が、私のアートと文学の世界のドアを大いに開きました。斉藤隆介氏作、滝平二郎氏による挿絵です。滝平氏は素晴らしい版画家、切り絵家でした。滝平氏の版画と切り絵は、刺激を受けたアート・スタイルのひとつです。特に色合いが好きです。小学生の時の恩師は斉藤隆介氏の本が好きで、恩師の日本文学の知識に大変影響を受けました。
