Great Wonder
Playful, full of play
Joyful, full of joy
Giant Gentle
Powerful, full of power
Beautiful, full of beauty
That’s what big whales are made of.
大きなクジラは何でできてるの…？
大きなクジラは何でできてるの…？
偉大な奇跡
陽気な、いっぱいの遊び心
嬉しそうな、溢れる喜び
巨大な優しさ
力強い、みなぎる力
美しい、溢れる美しさ
大きなクジラは、そういうものでできているんだよ。
I made this poem inspired by Mother Goose’s “What are little boys made of?” I like Mother Goose because there are many wonderful nursery rhymes. Those rhymes are interesting and sometimes, they are nonsense. Mother Goose is a little bit scary but very comical. Once we remember the rhymes, we won’t forget easily.
マザー・グースに出てくる“What are little boys made of?” （小さな男の子たちは何でできているの？）に影響をうけて、この詩を作りました。素晴らしい童謡がたくさん詰まったマザー・グースが好きです。これらの童謡はとても面白く、時々ノンセンスなのです。マザー・グースは少し怖いですが、とても愉快です。このような童謡は、いちど覚えたら簡単には忘れません。
